The Florida Jr. Blades organization believes in taking every excuse out of the player development process because player advancement is the ultimate goal. The organization has developed the best Junior Hockey breeding ground for its players over the last nine years.
Players undergo on-ice development, off-ice training, nutrition and video analysis as well as being vigorously promoted throughout the US and Canada to Junior ‘A’, Division I, Division III and universities as well as the professional ranks.

Athletic Republic-Germain is the official training center of the organization. The performance hockey training institute provides hockey specific programming to enhance speed, strength and power development.
Each player uses a combination of cutting edge technology like the hockey treadmill, where the athletes come away with significant improvements in skating efficiency, coupled with improved puckhandling and shooting movements. All Jr. Blades players have full access to Athletic Republic-Germain.
How many players have your team or coaching staff (maybe with another team) advanced to the Next Level in Junior Hockey?
We have had more than 20 players drafted or tendered and go on to play at Tier 1 and Tier 2 junior hockey: USHL, NAHL, NCDC, OJHL, CCHL, QMJHL.
How many players have your team or coaching staff (maybe with another team) advanced to NCAA College hockey?
More than 30 players have advanced to NCAA D1 / D3
How many players have your team or coaching staff (maybe with another team) advanced to North America Minor Pro or Europe?
3 players have gone on to play pro hockey with hopefully more on the way
What was the highest levels of Hockey did your Coaches, General Manager, or Owner play?
Head Coach Todd Pococke was a four year Division I College hockey player at Ferris State and eventually played professionally for the Florida Everblades of the ECHL
Does your program attend college showcases during the regular season play?
Yes, we will attend 4 showcases this season: Charlotte NC, Chicago Il, Boston MA, and Tampa FL
Does your program provide players with references from former players of the coaches not necessarily the team?
Yes, we believe former players are a great resource for potential new players because they can provide a first hand account from a players perspective.
What is the billeting situations like and costs?
We’re happy to provide quality billets, many of which have been with us for a number of years. Most often, the families are entwined within the hockey community by either having a player in the youth system or are an alumni Junior Blade family. Billet fees are $400 per month.
How many days per week does your team practice?
Our Premier team practices and trains 4 times per week, and the Elite team 3 times.
Does your program have hockey specific strength and conditioning training? If so how many days per week?
We’re very proud of our in-house strength and conditioning program and believe it is the best in all of Tier III Junior hockey. We own and operate our state of the art training center located inside our arena that overlooks two of the three rinks in our building. Our training center, Athletic Republic hosts numerous professional players throughout the year including the Florida Everblades of the ECHL all season long.
Does your program have video evaluations?
Yes. Video is done on average 2-3 times per week and is broken down many different ways: Individual, Position Specific, Special Teams, Pre-scout, etc
Does your program have an academic advisor?
Yes, our academic coordinator is available to assist with grade monitoring, tutoring, and ACT/SAT preparation
What are the team fees
Our team tuition is $9,500, plus a $200 or $500 equipment package. This price is ALL INCLUSIVE meaning flights, sleeper bus trips, charter bus trips, hotel rooms, all training, etc is included in tuition.
