Jack played a big roll in getting the Hershey Jr. Bears U16AA team to Nationals. He has great breakaway speed along with the ability to pick goalies apart.
I am presenting this character reference of Jack feeling both honored and privileged. Honored because I hold Jack in high regard for his effort every day both on the ice or off the ice. Whether it was a practice or a game, he worked as hard as he could. Privileged because it may be a long time before I am asked to give another reference for someone as deserving of being uplifted and recognized as he is. I was Jack’s coach for the 2017-18 year but have watched him grow for many years.
Summarily, Jack’s combination of skills and abilities would be an asset to any team needing quality driven players.
I’m looking forward to watching Jack grow and excel over the next couple of years.

Jack Straub was my eighth grade English student two years ago at Camp Hill Middle School, but since our middle school and high school are housed within the same building, I still periodically interact with my former students. Jack has always been a motivated young man. He works consistently with diligence and drive in both his school work and his extra-curricular activities.
More importantly, Jack is a student of great character. His politeness and positive attitude are definite strengths. He is respected by his peers and teachers, and his behavior in the classroom is exemplary. A cooperative student, he works well with others and seeks opportunities for roles of leadership when appropriate. Jack Straub would be a great addition to any classroom or team.
